I ended up substituting a friends class today - and it gave me a chance to demo some palette knives. Still trying to get back into the digital painting groove/feel/thingy...whatever. Anyways, I built a few palette knives, a variation on one that another friend showed me. The cool thing about these is that feels a bit more like how I draw by hand - holding the pencil at the side. I hate how no matter what stylus you use it ALWAYS ends up feeling like drawing with a mechanical pencil.
It was fun just to got straight at it in both cases - Photoshop has felt a lot easier in the last year, especially after getting a new laptop. Now if only the painting was easier....damn.
Bunnies with machine guns are cool. Especially Maxim Machine Guns in the trenches of World War One - "the Great War". This is a panel from a set of storyboards of mine - just another project to finish in the ever growing pile of work of mine.....someday it will all be finished.
Been meaning for a while to get back to "pure" digital painting....drawing straight into Photoshop and painting it. Work at the Academy has been so unrelenting lately - be glad to see this year over. Hopefully I'll get back more into the swing of things....

The end of the year has been far too busy....working my regular 40 hour week job, throw in a couple of classes I'm teaching, taking a class - and some freelance to just tighten the bolts even more....and yah, something going to fall though the cracks....mostly any sense of a regular sleeping routine....BUT, it FINISHED!!! Hooray....okay time for more coffee, cause I'm sure I'm forgetting something.....and it's probably important......
